Job Description:

Eponymous is a highly specialized team of individuals who work collaboratively and collectively to plan and execute the projects and operations of its client group. The team seeks out innovative and highly efficient management approaches to organize itself around the needs of the client’s programs and projects while maximizing the collective strength of the team inherent in the individual members. Consequently, the posting below is a list of competencies currently sought after for the team. The successful candidate, based on their strengths and skill sets, will result in a re-assessment of the role. As a result, flexibility and adaptability are key characteristics sought in the successful candidate.

This is a full-time (35 hour/week), permanent role. It is a hybrid role – three days in office, two days remote. Eponymous’ main office is in Vancouver on East 1st Avenue. Time may also be spent in a client office on Davie Street.

Responsibilities:

Marketing and Fund Development:
- Plan and execute fundraising and marketing campaigns based on client needs.
- Analyze past performance and recommend improvements.

Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring resources are appropriately allocated to support the organization and its client groups.
- Lead the implementation of business plans, KPIs, and risk management strategies.

Staff Leadership and HR Management:
- Lead a high-performing team, setting clear goals and fostering a positive working environment.
- Support staff development and ensure continuous learning and professional growth.
- Work with HR on staffing needs, professional development, and compliance with labor laws and artist associations.

Stakeholder Relationships:
- Build and nurture relationships with arts organizations, government bodies, and sponsors.
- Develop and execute strategic fundraising and income-generation plans to support organizational goals and client needs.

Financial Management:
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting, budget creation, and financial planning.
- Manage cash flow and financial monitoring systems while ensuring best practices and financial propriety.

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of senior management experience, leading diverse teams and handling performance management, quality assurance, and HR.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and fundraising.
- Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships and lead business planning efforts.
- Experience with non-profit or charitable governance, including board and committee reporting.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Strong leadership and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Passion for the performing arts and dedication to artist development.
- Strategic thinker with a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness to travel regionally, nationally, and occasionally internationally and work some irregular hours if/as required by the role.

Remuneration:

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000/year
