Organization Description:

Artrageous employs a small group of framers in a local small business environment right on Commercial Drive. We are all focused individuals who can work on their own with minimal supervision. Overall, the environment is calm and quiet with periodic bursts of customer contact.

Job Description:

We are looking for a permanent p/t custom framer for three days a week including Saturdays. The work involves design, working with customers, suggesting options, working with a pricing program and assembling frames. Attention to detail is a must.

Responsibilities:

Cutting mats on a computerized mat cutter, cutting glass, assembling frames, assisting customers with suggestions, sales, work on a till, clean up and organization.

Qualifications:

We prefer someone with an arts and or craft background. We are willing to train the right person but will give preference to someone who has these skills

Remuneration:

untrained $20/hr to start followed by advancement to $22 by 6 month mark. trained starting wage is $22 with movement to $23.50 at 6 months
