Job Description:

Position Overview:

Goh Ballet is seeking a skilled and dedicated Wardrobe Supervisor to join our team for the upcoming production of The Nutcracker. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the costumes for our dancers are meticulously managed and maintained, contributing to the seamless execution of performances. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the arts, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage a team and oversee all wardrobe- related aspects of this large-scale production.

Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of the wardrobe and props department for The Nutcracker production, including costume fittings, alterations, repairs, and maintenance.
Collaborate with directors, choreographers and seamstresses to ensure that the costumes align with the artistic vision of the production.
Coordinate and supervise a team of wardrobe assistants, providing guidance and support throughout the production process.
Develop and maintain an organized inventory of costumes, accessories, and related materials, ensuring that all items are accounted for and properly stored.
Oversee quick costume changes during performances, ensuring that all dancers are prepared and that costumes are handled efficiently and effectively.
Communicate and collaborate with other production staff, including stage managers, lighting technicians, and makeup artists, to ensure a cohesive and polished final performance.
Uphold high standards of quality and professionalism in all wardrobe-related activities, contributing to the overall success of The Nutcracker production.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in costume management or wardrobe supervision for theatrical productions, preferably within the realm of ballet or dance.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of artists and production staff.

Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully managing teams and overseeing complex projects.
A passion for the performing arts and a genuine interest in contributing to the success of a world-class ballet production.
