Call for Artists Description:

Event Overview
This art auction fundraiser, supported by the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, offers a unique platform for BC-based artists to showcase their work while contributing to the health and well-being of BC’s children in need. A final selection of 25 artists will be chosen to feature two artworks each in the auction.

Artwork Criteria
• Size Limit: All artworks must be a maximum of 12” x 12”.
• Media Accepted: We accept 2D and 3D works, including paintings, sculptures, and mixed media.
• Theme: Artwork inspired by preservation, legacy, or nature is encouraged but not required. The work should be appropriate for all ages.
• Submission Limit: Artists may submit up to 5 and a minimum of 2 artworks; a maximum of 2 pieces per artist will be accepted.

Entry Fee & Compensation
• Entry Fee: $5 per artwork submitted(non-refundable).
• Profit Sharing: Artists will receive 40% of the profit from the sale of their artwork.

Artist Benefits
• Recognition: Participating artists will be featured in our event catalog, on our website, and on social media.
• Exposure: Art will be displayed to a wide audience, providing visibility and connection opportunities with collectors, donors, and art enthusiasts.
• Certificate: Each artist will receive a certificate of participation.

Important Dates
• Submission Deadline: December 15, 2024
• Notification of Acceptance: December 18, 2024
• Artwork Delivery Date: TBD
• Auction Date: Jan 2025
