Call for Artists Description:

The Vancouver Fringe lottery is officially open! Apply now to be part of the 2025 festival on Granville Island.

Companies participating in the mainstage category will receive a performance slot in an assigned theatre. These shows will have full access to standard theater equipment, as well as a minimum seating capacity of 90-230 seats.  By selecting the “Mainstage Lottery” as your application type this will enter your performance into our lottery draw which will be held on January 22, 2025. Results will be posted no later than January 24, 2025. This will provide you with a chance to participate in this year’s Fringe Festival from 4 – 14 Sep 2025. All applicants are required to cover a non-refundable application fee and if successfully drawn in the lottery will have to pay the Participation Fees (dependent on show duration).

Participants are chosen by random draw through a Two-Phase lottery (more information below).  Companies pay an application fee to enter the lottery draw and then a participation fee if successfully drawn. 
Participants will perform six times throughout the 11 day festival. Rehearsal and show times are assigned by the Fringe festival team. 
Artists receive 100% of the box office proceeds minus a ticketing fee that covers the cost of selling the ticket. Artists choose their own ticket price between $12-$15
