Call for Artists Description:
In partnership with Helm Studios, CACV is excited to present professional development workshops tailored for emerging and marginalized musicians. We will offer free training in songwriting, recording, production, and post-production, with a focus on breaking down barriers and creating opportunities in BC’s music scene.
Participants will gain hands-on experience in songwriting, mixing, mastering, marketing and more. This program is part of our shared mission to support systemically marginalized artists, including those with disabilities, low-income artists, and under-represented voices. There will be 7 workshop sessions that run between February – March 2025. We are seeking 15 participants and each participant will receive a $300 paid honorarium.
This project is in partnership with Helm Studios and part of their mandate is to remove barriers and create opportunities for systemically marginalized artists. Our organization (CACV) also serves artists who self-identify as “outsider artists”, these artists include marginalized artists, artists with disabilities, low income and under-represented artists.
Supported by Creative BC and the Province of British Columbia.
