Steps Ahead Dance, now in its 27th season on Vancouver Island, is a family-focused and thriving dance institution. Situated in the picturesque Cowichan Valley, the studio provides a variety of dance styles for students aged three years and older. Students participate in examinations with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), engage in local competitions, and conclude the year with an annual performance at the Cowichan Performing Arts Centre.

Job Description:
An excellent opportunity exists for an educator with a strong passion for dance. This position encompasses responsibilities such as class planning, leading classes, training in technique, preparing students for examinations, and choreographing for competitions and showcases. The preferred applicant will possess a minimum of three years of experience in a dance studio setting and hold a recognized teaching qualification. The teaching schedule is flexible and can be negotiated. While Acrobatic Arts certification is advantageous, training will be offered to the suitable candidate.
Responsibilities:
Nurture and engage young dancers in a variety of genres.
Qualifications:
Recognized qualification with an awarding dance body RAD ISTD preferred.
