Mulgrave School is one of Canada’s leading independent co-educational pre-K – 12 day schools, serving the North Shore of Vancouver. We are an established IB Continuum World School with a reputation for excellence and innovation. We are now seeking applicants for the role of Performing Arts Assistant to start immediately.

This role involves coordinating performances, providing administrative support, and assisting with program enrichment. The ideal candidate will be an organised and enthusiastic professional with experience in performing arts. The position is split between 60% administrative tasks and 40% performing arts support.

Duties and Responsibilities
Your specific responsibilities include the following:

Collaborate with and provide general and specialist support for the school’s Performing Arts and teachers so that they can inspire our students to achieve their best.
Assist with concert/performance planning and logistics which will include working with and supporting the theatre manager at performance times.
Work with the Marketing and Events teams for Performing Arts events and promotion.
Registration and facility bookings for offsite performances and tours including liaising with outside travel agents, booking buses, and organising chaperones for field trips.
Support Director of Performing Arts in tracking the budget, tracking invoices and cheque requisitions for PA team.
Lead a two-term co-curricular theatre club that potentially ends with a culminating G3-5 production.
Work with a variety of students from PK to Grade 6.

Demonstrate familiarity with spreadsheet programs such as Excel or Google sheets

Required Qualifications:

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or in possession of a valid work visa)
2-5 years experience in administration
Efficient in business applications and highly organised
BA Fine Arts in Theatre Performance or equivalent
Experience in theatre education &/or Theatre for young people
Hold or be willing to obtain an age appropriate First Aid Certificate

Compensation:

The base annual salary for this position is competitive and falls within the range of $ 55,000.00 - $62,000.00. The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, and relevant experience in accordance with BC labour laws and company policies.
