Apply For Up to $5,000 in One-Time Funding For Community Events

The Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development has allocated a total of $250,000 towards a one-time funding opportunity to encourage community events that strengthen volunteer capacity for event hosting throughout the province. 

Eligible non-profit organizations are invited to apply for up to $5,000 through EventHostBC grants. As long as the broader community can participate, the type of event is fairly open – it could be sports, arts or culture related, or some other creative idea supported by the community. Grants will be awarded on a first-come, first served basis and distributed throughout BC’s six provincial tourism regions.

This initiative will provide a stimulus for new events and will assist existing events that are currently ineligible for other provincial government funding.
 
Deadline: Applications will only be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on June 30, 2015.
