Two Steps to Success - The 2015 Theatre Rental Grants

Is your established or emerging arts and culture organization in search of a venue?

The City of Vancouver's Theatre Rental Grant program offers financial assistance to non-profit arts and cultural organizations to use the Vancouver Civic Theatres (Orpheum, Orpheum Annex, Vancouver Playhouse, and Queen Elizabeth Theatre).

New this year, additional performance spaces are eligible for rental support including the outdoor QET Plaza and indoor ancillary spaces. Please refer to the Theatre Rental Grant Guidelines for more details.

The program is intended to assist with artistic development, increasing profile, and expanding audiences for organizations by providing access to well-equipped and centrally-located professional venues. 

Please note that there are two steps and two deadlines to submit a grant request to the City of Vancouver's 2015-16 Theatre Rental Grant Program. 

Deadlines:
March 18, 2015 at 4:00 pm:
Booking Request form submitted to Vancouver Civic Theatres.

April 8, 2015 at 4:00 pm:
Theatre Rental Grant online Application form submitted to Cultural Services

Timelines:
These deadlines cover eligible activities happening during the season between September 1, 2015 and August 31, 2016.
