CARFAC National Offers Artists For Artists Conference Bursaries

From September 18 to 21, 2014, CARFAC National hosts the annual Artists for Artists conference in Toronto. Want to attend but can't afford the airfare? Eight travel bursaries of up to $500 are available for artists in financial need to cover travel and registration costs. There are also 10 bursaries available to cover registration costs only.

To apply, send in a completed application form by August 15. Applications will be evaluated by CARFAC National’s conference committee. Notices to bursary recipients will go out by email the week of August 18. Only artists from outside the Greater Toronto Area are eligible for travel bursaries. Priority will go to Indigenous artists and artists from equity seeking groups.

Alternatively, you could also enter for your chance to win a bursary. Two bursaries for the Artists for Artists conference are up for grabs. To win, upload a video to YouTube explaining why CARFAC is important to you. The creators of the videos with the most “likes” will receive a bursary of up to $500 to cover travel and registration.
