Job Description:

The department seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to teach resource management in the arts and entertainment sector, including fundraising, grant writing, and sponsorships.

Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging course materials that explore funding for arts and entertainment organizations, including sources of funding, the fund development process, trends, ethics, and innovation.
Guide students in developing campaigns, pitching, and writing proposals and grants for a range of creative industry enterprises.
Explain fundraising practices and tools within arts environments and assist students in constructing fundraising materials.
Facilitate verbal pitches for funding and/or investment.
Identify key ethical issues affecting funding and employ ethical principles and standards in fundraising activities.
Articulate the importance of equity, diversity, and inclusion in the cultivation of donors and investors.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a relevant field.
At least 5 years of experience in a mid to senior level resource development role within the arts and entertainment industry, ideally across a range of fields in the industry.
Strong understanding of ethical standards and principles in fundraising.
Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Post-secondary teaching experience preferred.
