Apply to the Beaumont Studios' Artist to Watch Award

The Beaumont Studios’ Artist to Watch Award is seeking artists and collectives looking for funding, resources and exposure. This award is designed to showcase a diverse array of talent, and help to develop the next wave of creativity in our city.
Entry Criteria:
All applicants must Live and/or work in the greater Vancouver area, the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations
Have some training, experience or accomplishments in an artistic discipline or
Have an existing portfolio of work
Have not previously accessed major funding
Commit to meeting the project timeline
Five winners will be chosen by a participatory judging panel that will consist of artists from diverse backgrounds and disciplines, and members of the Beaumont Studios Artist Society.
Award winners will receive:
Up to $2,000 in cash to support the creation, production and exhibition of their work
A show in the B1 Gallery for a minimum of three weeks
Marketing and promotional support for the artist and their exhibition
Guidance from one of our experienced team members
Networking opportunities with the Beaumont Studios 95+ residents
The Beaumont’s commitment to inclusion, diversity and representation will ensure that the award winners embody Vancouver’s vast artist community. Priority will be given to projects submitted by emerging artists who are Indigenous, Black, Persons of Colour, 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, seniors and elders, persons who identify as Deaf or Hard of hearing, and artists with disabilities.
