Applications Open for First Spark Initiative

The Strategic Initiatives component of the Canada Cultural Investment Fund has launched The First Spark Initiative. Arts and heritage organizations can apply for up to $5,000 to organize a collaborative problem-solving activity which seeks to address a common business challenge.
This is a time-limited initiative. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis from now until November 15, 2019.
To be eligible for funding, your organization must have identified:
1. a business challenge you share with other organizations, such as:
o technology issues
o data management and discoverability
o digital transformation
o marketing and audience development
o revenue diversification and fundraising
o governance issues
2. at least one other organization with which you will be partnering to explore possible solutions
3. a participatory activity you will organize to address the business challenge, such as:
o design jam
o design-thinking workshop
o experimentation with and mastery of new tools or technology
o hackathon
o ideation workshop
