Salt Spring National Art Prize Issues Call for Submissions

Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada are invited to submit their two- and three-dimensional work for consideration for the 2019/2020 SSNAP awards. The submission period begins on Jan 10, 2019 and closes May 31, 2019.

In addition to increasing the prize money to $40,000 in total, making SSNAP one of the largest visual art prizes in Canada, the organizers have also expanded the jury and committed $10,000 towards artists’ shipping expenses, in order to facilitate entries from particularly east coast and remote community artists.

The four-person jury of national art professionals chooses the 50 finalists through a fair, open, blind jury system. The award winners are then named by the jury on Salt Spring Island and announced at the Gala Awards Night, October 19, 2019.
