Canada Council for the Arts Delays Launch of Online Applications Portal

The Canada Council for the Arts has announced that the launch of its online portal will be delayed due to technical issues, pushing the beginning of online applications back to June 5. Most subsequent deadlines in the applications cycle have been adjusted to compensate for the late start.

The news came April 25 in a message from Canada Council CEO Simon Brault. In the communication, Brault explained the Council encountered technological errors in the latest round of testing its new online portal which could potentially compromise the applications process. He also released a table of new applications process deadlines in light of the delay.
