Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden Appoints New Executive Director

Vincent Kwan has been appointed the new executive director of the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden in Vancouver. 

Kwan's professional experience spans across business sectors including technology, international trade, and financial services. Born in Hong Kong, Kwan grew up in Vancouver and has worked in Canada, the US, and China.

“We are excited to welcome the new executive director to the Garden at the time when the Garden celebrates its 30th anniversary and is defining its place in a changing Chinatown and a changing Vancouver," said Jeannette Hlavach, president of the Garden, in a press release. "Mr. Kwan’s strong background in business promises to usher the Garden into its next phase of growth and development.” 

"In the lifecycles of organizations, the Garden stands on the threshold of maturity and I am excited to bring it to the next level of success,” Kwan said.
