Day One will feature informative report-backs on the previous year's developments and activities from many arts organizations and initiatives, and the presentation of the draft Cultural Policy Framework for British Columbia which we all began work on in 2013 as part of the Alliance's BC Creative Convergence initiative. This draft will reflect ideas gathered at 18 Community Cultural Roundtables held throughout British Columbia.
Day Two we will be joined by noted cultural visionary Richard Evans of EmcArts. Richard’s recent research, program design, and facilitation places particular emphasis on innovation, adaptive organizational change, and effective ways that the arts and culture field can respond to the demands of a new era for the sector. He is a frequent speaker on the relationship between cultural policy and emerging practices in the arts.
Of course there will also be two tasty lunches with live entertainment and a networking Reception on Thursday following the day's activities.
Further programming details will be announced shortly. Plan to join the conversation!
