Results are in from a nation-wide online survey designed to gain a better understanding of who dances in Canada, where they dance, and why.

Canadian dancers, teachers and choreographers were invited to provide feedback through the Yes I Dance survey, part of the Canada Dance Mapping Study conducted by the Canada Council for the Arts.

Over 8100 people responded, representing 190 forms of dance.

Find stats, facts and videos of the survey’s top 100 dance forms on an interactive Dance Wheel and read the survey highlights in the executive summary or full report.

The survey is part of Dance Across Canada, a major research project funded by the Canada Council with financial contributions from the Ontario Arts Council.
