Nominations Open For YWCA Women of Distinction Awards

Other categories which you may want to consider submitting a nomination for include: business & the Professions; Community Champion; Education, Training & Development; Entrepreneurship & Innovation; Environmental Sustainability; Health & Wellness; Non-Profit; and Public Service.
Nominations for the 2016 Women of Distinction Awards are now being accepted and will close on January 15, 2016. Learn more about the Awards or the nominations process here.
According to the Awards guidelines, the successful nominee “enriches the community through her talents and her commitment to visual, literary, media, architectural and/or performing arts and has made a significant and sustained difference in Metro Vancouver. She excels at facilitating or promoting the artistic efforts of others and broadening community engagement in the arts. She may be a curator, arts administrator, artist or other member of the arts community.”
YWCA Metro Vancouver will host the 33rd annual Women of Distinction Awards on June 8, 2016 at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Funds raised from the event in support of the YWCA’s 50 programs and services for women, children, youth and families at turning points in their lives. The Awards are a chance to pay tribute to our community’s outstanding women and organizations and to support much-needed programs and services crucial to breaking the cycle of poverty.
