Emily Carr Students' Union Invests in New Campus

The student union of the Emily Carr University of Art + Design has invested $315,000 towards the University's new campus; scheduled to open in 2017, the hub of educations and arts on Great Northern Way in Vancouver is currently under construction. Fundraising efforts under the moniker "The Big Idea" are underway, with the university embracing some creative collection efforts.

ECSU's significant support is made possible by Students' Union funds designated specifically for capital projects. The pledge demonstrates ECSU's continued leadership role in shaping the student experience at Emily Carr University. "We are excited to make this investment to support fellow and future students at the new campus,” said Gloria Han, Chairperson, Emily Carr Students' Union. “This is the perfect opportunity for ECSU to play an integral role in defining and enhancing Emily Carr University's new campus."
