Job Description:
The Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art in Vancouver, BC is seeking an outgoing and friendly tour presenter to provide exhibition tours of the gallery on a contract basis from May – September 2025. Tour presenters with Indigenous ancestry are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
The contract will include:
Estimated number of tours is 80 over the course of 5 months. Exact numbers, dates and times may vary.
3-6 tours of the gallery per week
Each booking time is generally 2 hours long (tours last about one hour)
Depending on the size of the group, tours may be presented by more than one guide
The Bill Reid Gallery will provide a tour script
The contract will include two hours of paid preparation time
Qualifications:
Great public speaking skills and tour experience
Outgoing and friendly personality
Interest and knowledge in Northwest Coast Indigenous art and culture
Punctuality
English fluency
Flexible schedule
