Join our Team as a Gallery Manager!

As our Gallery Manager, you’ll be at the core of Or Gallery’s operations, connecting with the public, coordinating exhibitions, and supporting our mission to inspire through art. Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do:

Program Management – Bring exhibitions and public programs to life

- You’ll play a key role in promoting Or Gallery’s activities and connecting with our audience through strategizing marketing campaigns, creating engaging social media content and overseeing the design and layout of print materials

- Your support will be vital in ensuring our exhibitions are displayed beautifully and managed seamlessly. Help orchestrate opening receptions, public programs, and special events that inspire and captivate our community

Operations Management – Be our go to person
- You’ll be the heart of daily operations, ensuring the Or Gallery space is welcoming, secure, and accessible.

- You’ll manage visitor interactions, answer inquiries, offer public tours, and make sure the gallery is running smoothly.

- You’ll oversee gallery systems, maintain financial records, and support bookkeeping tasks.

- Your organizational skills will help keep our systems efficient, from archiving to inventory management.

Human Resources Management – Lead a team that brings Or Gallery to life
- You’ll manage the recruitment, training, and supervision of gallery staff, volunteers, and interns, fostering a supportive environment for growth and development.

- Your knowledge of policies and compliance will guide our operations, while your leadership will make our team feel empowered, appreciated, and ready to create an inclusive space for everyone.

Fundraising & Reporting - Contribute to the future of Or Gallery
- You’ll support grant applications, reporting, and fundraising initiatives.

- You’ll compile key statistics, assist with financial reports, and help develop meaningful relationships with members, donors, and partners.

- Your attention to detail will keep our reports accurate and impactful, supporting a sustainable and thriving arts community.

Qualifications:

Who You Are:
A Clear Communicator - You’re skilled at engaging others with both written and spoken words, creating connections and sharing ideas effectively.

Detail-Oriented & Organized: You juggle tasks and projects with ease, keeping everything on track while maintaining an eye for detail.

Community and Team Focussed: You’re approachable and skilled at building relationships. You value collaboration and thrive in building connections with a diverse community, both inside and outside the gallery.

Tech-Savvy: You are experienced with tools like Microsoft Office, G-Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and social media platforms.

Nice to Haves:
- A driver’s license
- Ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese
