Student Studio Assistant (Casual, Flexible Hours)
This casual role is for assisting a small business owner in various tasks mostly focusing on marketing and communication. It’s ideal for someone interested in art and marketing who’s looking for a little extra income through flexible work hours.
Hours: approx 6-12 hours per month(flexible schedule – can be one full shift or spread across shorter hours each week)
Work Environment: Collaborative and community-centred
Ideal Candidate:
Someone reliable, creative, and passionate about the arts. Experience with social media content creation is a plus but not required. Ideal for a student.

You will be offered free access to the studio and studio equipment.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities might include: (all tasks will be collaborative with the studio owner):
Marketing Support: Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling social media posts and videos, as well as designing and distributing posters around the Lower Mainland.
Content Creation: Help brainstorm and create content that reflects the studio’s community-focused and queer-friendly values. Ideas and input are encouraged.
Studio Maintenance: Assist with light organization, tidying, and setting up the studio to ensure it remains a welcoming space for all.
Supply Preparation: Occasionally help prepare or organize art supplies and materials for classes or events.
Community Engagement: Contribute ideas for community outreach, helping make the studio accessible and inviting to the local art scene.
The role is designed to be collaborative, so you won’t be expected to complete these tasks independently but will work alongside the studio owner to support the studio's needs.
Qualifications:
