Vancouver Arts Summit

There are some exciting new developments for the Vancouver Arts Summit, a joint venture by the Alliance for Arts & Culture and 2010 Legacies Now taking on June 25-26, 2009 at the Vancouver Public Library. First, the Summit now has a name: SHIFTING GROUND: New Realities, New Ideas, New Opportunities. Second, we are very pleased to announce that we have secured Diane Ragsdale to perform the keynote address. Ms. Ragsdale is best known for her recent address to the Australia arts marketing council entitled Surviving the Culture Change, which is one of the most cogent and persuasive critiques of the current cultural climate in circulation. More information about the summit, including registration information, is forthcoming. This will be an event you don't want to miss , so be sure to save the dates!

The objective of the Vancouver Arts Summit is:

• to provide resources and information to effectively manage in the current economic climate
• to enhance the skills, knowledge and expertise of those working in the sector
• to provide networking opportunities
• to encourage increased communication, collaboration and cooperation with business, government and other non-profit organizations.
