$50 million Canada Performing Arts Workers Resilience Fund Distributed To These Four Arts Organizations

On May 3, at the National Culture Summit, the Government announced that the following organizations have been identified to provide direct financial assistance to independent and self-employed workers in the live performance sector experiencing financial hardship and requiring emergency support:
Unison Benevolent Fund (Music Sector)
The AFC (Theatre sector and technical disciplines)
Canadian Dance Assembly (Dance)
La Fondation des artistes (All sectors and disciplines within Quebec)
James Moore's announcement
/The announcement by the Honourable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, was a pledge to maintain federal arts funding despite the recession.
