Public Hearing On Edgewater Expansion

Vancouver Not Vegas! Come to a Public Forum on the proposed Edgewater Casino expansion at the Chinese Cultural Centre (50 East Pender St.) on Wednesday, February 9 from 7 to 10 p.m.

This is a chance for you to make your feelings known about the proposed Edgewater mega-casino planned for downtown Vancouver. (Next to BC Place Stadium in Northeast False Creek.) 

No other major Canadian city has a casino in its downtown core, and certainly not a casino of this massive size. Does Vancouver need massive gaming expansion? What about the social and economic costs of crime, policing, addiction, traffic, and corruption, to name just some of the many consequences of highly publicized gambling? 

Come learn about the proposed casino before City Council's public hearings on February 17, and come help us show our numbers to City Hall and, by extension, to the BC government.
