Martha Rans nominated for YWCA Women of Distinction Award

We are extremely pleased to announce that our very own Martha Rans has been nominated for one of the YWCA's prestigious Women of Distinction Awards.

As many of you know, Martha built on the vision of Burt Harris to create the Artists' Legal Outreach Program, a volunteer-run program run out of the Alliance that provides free summary legal advice for artists. She is also a bright and energetic member of our community and we are very pleased to see her honoured in this way. The Women of Distinction Awards began in 1984 to honour, encourage and recognize women whose outstanding activities and achievements contribute to the health and future of the community.
