ArtsBC Issues Call For Nominations to the Board of Directors / President

Do you believe that arts councils and arts organizations are critical for community cultural development? Are you interested in connecting with like-minded people, developing networks, sharing information with artists, arts administrators, volunteers, and the public? Would you enjoy serving on a board, working with specialists in arts administration and participating in the development of ArtsBC? If this sounds like you, or someone in your organization, please consider nominations for ArtsBC's Board of Directors!

The following are regions with vacancies or with current directors up for re-election (regional map here):

  • Central Interior - vacant
  • East Kootenay 
  • Greater Vancouver
  • Pacific Region/North Island - vacant
  • Peace Liard - vacant
  • Southwest 
  • Thompson Okanagan
  • At Large Positions (2) - 1 vacant

ArtsBC is actively seeking a new Board President. More information

The Board currently meets in person once a year at ArtsBC's annual conference and by teleconference at least six times a year. To view the Board Recruitment Policy and Board Member Job Description, visit the ArtsBC website.

Board directors must be a member of their local community or regional arts council in good standing. Board members are also required to be an asssociate member of ArtsBC in order to serve on the board.
