Alliance Winter Workshop: Leveraging Facebook as an Arts Marketing Tool

Venue: All workshops take place in the Alliance board room at 100-938 Howe Street, Vancouver.
The Workshop: These days everyone is on Facebook, but are you getting the most out of your social media? This workshop will demonstrate how to optimize your organization’s Facebook page and utilize Facebook ads. Learn how to grow your likes and build your brand without spamming: how often to post, what to post, and when. Get insights into Facebook’s complex algorithm so you can leverage social media and get the most out of your resources.
The Facilitator: Rebecca Coleman has been a freelance theatre publicist since 2001, working for companies like Touchstone, Ruby Slippers Theatre, Capilano University’s Theatre Department, Presentation House, Radix and Leaky Heaven Circus. An actor, writer and producer, she is also very passionate about helping artists to be better businesspeople. Since 2007, she has become increasingly interested in using social media networking to market the arts, and writes about the subject frequently on her blog, The Art of the Business.
Cost: Members $45 / non-members $75 (plus 5% GST)
Workshop Registration: Pre-registration and payment is required for all workshops. We accept cash, VISA, MasterCard or cheques. Call our office at 604.681.3535 with a credit card number, mail a cheque, or drop off your payment in person at our office. 24 hours cancellation notice is required to obtain a full refund.
Cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel workshops if registration is too low.
