Alan Twigg Announces Launch of Online News Service BCBookLook
/Publisher Alan Twigg announced this week that B.C. BookWorld newspaper is expanding to reach new readers via the internet with its new daily online news service, BCBookLook.
The new service, launched this month, will share the latest updates on BC's books and authors and will allow for longer articles than the newspaper's print version. BCBookLook is part of a trio of linked websites that includes BCBookAwards.ca and the free public reference site ABCBookWorld.com, parts of an umbrella initiative called ReadBC, launched this month.
BCBookLook also provides access to the search engine for ABCBookWorld, a continually-updated encyclopedia which includes original information for and about more than 10,500 BC authors and serves more than 1,000 visitors daily. Simon Fraser University provides hosting for both websites.
B.C. BookWorld newspaper, published quarterly since 1987, has approximately 100,000 ‘real world’ readers per issue.
