Have you ever considered using history and archival sources as part of your choreographic process?
Dance Collection Danse's Artist Researcher-in-Residence opportunity will provide the artist with research support from DCD staff. They will be able to spend as much time as they wish conducting research at Dance Collection Danse or digitally through DCD Discover. The artist will give an informal presentation at the end of their residency to share their research and discuss how they see the research fitting into their choreographic process and/or new creative work (this presentation may be offered digitally or in a hybrid digital/in-person format). DCD welcomes applications from artists at any stage of their professional career and from any form of dance practice.
Includes artist fee of $2500
Residency begins April 1, 2023 and lasts for up to one year
