Nominations are open for the Salt Spring National Art Prize

Since 2015, the Salt Spring National Art Prize has recognized and elevated contemporary

Canadian visual artists. The 5th biennial prize offers $50,000 in total awards, including a separate

$6,000 residency on Salt Spring Island, BC. 

The Salt Spring National Art Prize is:

• Open to all Canadian citizens and permanent residents over the age of 18   

• Nominations not required  

• More affordable entry fee than most Canadian art prizes   

• Finalists receive financial support for shipping their artwork
