Used by numerous artists, companies and arts councils, the CADA/West Fees & Rates Standards should be considered as the minimum pay rates when hiring artists and applying for funding. 

It's expected and encouraged that artists will negotiate higher rates in recognition of their training, expertise, demands of the engagement and any other factors that warrant higher compensation.
