CAPACOA and CQT Offer Wikidata Workshops for Performing Arts

The following is excerpted from a communication by CAPACOA. Please note that the first workshop, Introduction to Wikidata, occurred July 9.

To help build “A Linked Digital Future for the Performing Arts”, CAPACOA and the Conseil Québécois du Théâtre (CQT) invite you to participate in a joint effort to link up the performing arts to Wikidata, an open and collaborative international knowledge base.

CAPACOA and CQT have devised a series of nine Zoom workshops to help you understand and take advantage of the benefits of Wikidata (find out more in this post).

The workshops will be held in English on every third Thursday and in French on every second Wednesday of the month from July 2020 to March 2021.

Intended for beginners and experts alike, these workshops will allow you to acquire the skills needed to populate, edit and enrich Wikidata efficiently. The first three will cover the general aspects of Wikidata. The last six will be geared specifically to the needs of the performing arts. The complexity of the workshops will increase as months go by.
