City of Vancouver Accepting Applications for Engineering Artist-In-Residence Program

The City of Vancouver’s Engineering Services department is entering the second phase of its Artist-In-Residence Program. Applications are now open for a new artist to be in residence with the Green Operations Division starting June 2020. Over the next two years, the artist will have opportunities to contribute to ongoing projects and propose new temporary or permanent artworks. These artworks will interact with the ideas and practices of city planning, infrastructural development, engineering operations, and sustainability.

Please see online for application details and examples of completed and ongoing work from the city’s first Artist-In-Residence, whose term started in January of 2017 and will go until the end of June 2020. The submission deadline is Friday, February 28.
