Open House for Potential Cultural Space in Vancouver

Arts and culture mandated non-profit societies, non-profit co-operatives, charitable organizations, or Musqueam, Squamish or Tsleil-Waututh Band Councils, take note!
The City of Vancouver has received a development application for 1616 West 7th Avenue. Cultural Services anticipates securing approximately 6,000 square feet of cultural space to be owned by the City of Vancouver as part of this development.
Cultural space on the ground, second and third levels, will likely be a dedicated music space that may include:
music studios for rehearsal and production
one music studio that may also function as an occasional presentation and recording space with a capacity of approximately 75 people, and
ancillary office space.

Illustrations and information about the development and the proposed cultural space will be available for feedback and comment at the Open House. The applicant team and City of Vancouver staff will be available to answer questions.
Cultural Services anticipates issuing a Request for Expressions of Interest for potential operators of the cultural amenity space at a later date.
