Make Your Voice Heard on the City of Vancouver Creative City Strategy

The following is partially excerpted from a City of Vancouver communication, with minor adjustments.

What are the priorities for arts, culture and creativity in the City of Vancouver? What actions will best address the critical issues of this sector?

On May 16, attend to explore the proposed priorities and actions that will guide the City’s efforts and investments in support of the City’s dynamic cultural ecology. Cultural Services will share what it has heard from the diverse arts and culture community over the past 18+ months and ask for your feedback on the draft framework of Creative City Strategy, which it will be presenting to City Council later this year.

You can participate in two ways:

1. Presentation + Feedback
Join for one of three scheduled 30 minute presentations on the Creative City Strategy’s Action Plan. Then, share your priority actions.
Morning Presentation (10:00 - 10:30 am)
Afternoon Presentation (2:00 - 2:30 pm)
Evening Presentation (6:00 - 6:30 pm)

2. Drop-In
Short on time? Drop in between 10:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. to chat with a Cultural Services staff person throughout the day about which actions are most important for your community.
