PLEO Offers Free Legal Workshops for Arts and Culture Non-Profits

Pacific Legal Education and Outreach is offering a pair of upcoming legal workshops on December 11 in Vancouver, free for arts and culture non-profits. Sessions include a workshop on record keeping, as well as one on the Civil Resolution Tribunal. Arts organizations can access free registration by entering the code arts2019 on Eventbrite. Are you prepared for disputes with the CRT?
Under the New Societies Act, all society act and cooperative associations act disputes will be going to the Civil Resolution Tribunal. This workshop will help societies be prepared for this major change. The CRT has jurisdiction to resolve many Society and Co-operative disputes. Come learn about the steps involved with the CRT and what you can do to prepare your society.
