City of Vancouver Seeks Proposals for Cultural Amenity Space
/The following is excerpted from a request for proposals issued by the City of Vancouver.
The City of Vancouver is seeking proposals from qualified Vancouver-based arts and cultural nonprofits interested in a long term lease at a nominal base rent for an approximately 21,050 square foot cultural amenity space located at 825 Pacific Street (previously known as 801 Pacific Street).
The intended use for the space is to provide a multi-purpose arts and culture hub, with affordable and suitable presentation, Class A studio production space, and office space for multiple artists and arts and culture non-profit organizations.
The minimally finished interior will not be fitted out with specialized equipment, flooring, furniture, appliances or accessories. The selected operator will need to raise the appropriate funds in order to support all necessary tenant improvement (including the fit out) and start-up expenses.
Please note, this Request for Proposals (RFP) is open to non-profit operators only, not for individual artists.
Eligibility
Established nonprofit arts and cultural organizations based in Vancouver.
Organizations that are not based in Vancouver and/or whose primary purpose or activity is the provision of health care, educational, sport, recreational, or religious programs and services are not eligible.
