Canadian Heritage Announces Key Changes to Canada Cultural Investment Fund
/On October 25, the Department of Canadian Heritage opened applications for the Endowment Incentives component of its Canada Cultural Investment Fund, which encourages private donors to contribute to endowment funds for not-for-profit professional arts organizations, so they can access new sources of funding in the future. It also announced a series of changes to the way this component is implemented.
Among these changes: the lifetime maximum amount payable of $15M per beneficiary arts organization has been eliminated. The annual cap of $1M for arts organizations that have already received $10M in grants from the component is maintained.
A new section on workplace well-being has also been added to support workplace integrity.
