Curtis Pendleton Named ACT Arts Centre Executive Director
/Curtis Pendleton will take on the role of executive director of Maple Ridge's ACT Arts Centre starting in February. The role has been vacant since June, upon the departure of Lindy Sisson. Pendleton leaves behind the VSO School of Music, where she has been executive director for six years.
As part of her mission in her new position, Pendleton looks forward to increasing the ACT's profile provincially and nationally, and building bridges with the community by creating programming outside of the city centre. She also wants to underscore that ACT audiences can expect "engaged programming that really speaks to people. [...] We’ll continue to have a diversity of programming with theatre, music, visual arts, all of the different artistic disciplines that are represented by that beautiful building and the grounds around it."
