Hnatyshyn Foundation Presents $1.5 Million in Indigenous Art Awards

150 emerging and established Indigenous artists will be recipients of Hnatyshyn Foundation Reveal Indigenous Art Awards. The awards are in the order of $10,000 and are presented to Indigenous artists working in the disciplines of dance, film, literature, music, theatre and visual arts.

Prominent artists receiving the awards include musician Tanya Tagaq, visual artist Christi Belcourt and writer Eden Robinson. A full list of recipients can be found here. In addition to the 150 winners, four honorary patrons have also been named: Waubgeshig Rice, Rosalie Favell, James Hart and James Bartleman.

The awards will be presented to the winners on at a ceremony on May 22 in Winnipeg.
