HERITAGE: Imagining Futures Conference Update
/Heritage BC has booked the Robert Bateman Centre in Victoria for their upcoming conference, HERITAGE: Imagining Futures, from May 4 to 6.
The opening night reception is called Heritage SLAM!, and will give attendees the opportunity to showcase their best, most innovative and exciting projects. Presenters have the chance to exhibit their work in a quick and engaging format, with 15 slides and 15 seconds per slide. Slam!
The keynote speaker for the conference will be Dr. Lorna Williams: Assoc. Professor Emeritus, Indigenous Education, at the University of Victoria. Lorna Williams will explore "the future of heritage", and a panel of sector leaders will then be asked to respond to and challenge what they heard, and to investigate their own stimulating ideas.
The conference program is available and being updated on the Heritage BC website, and the deadline for registration is Friday, April 28.
