Penticton Arts Council Announces New Annual Festival

The Penticton Arts Council has announced the launch of Artsrising Penticton, an annual arts festival celebrating the power of art. Artsrising's debut will be held from Thursday, September 21st to Sunday, September 24th, 2017.

This multi-disciplinary and multi-venue event will include an array of features, such as: the return of ReImagine Street Art Festival; screenings from local amateur film makers as part of Snakebite Film Festival; wearable art from ARTwear; and art gallery open houses, artist talks and demonstrations.

The Penticton Arts Council is currently seeking expressions of interest in participation from members of the community. All are welcome, including volunteers, artists, business partners, stakeholders, venues, retailers, and restaurants.

Those eager to help build a vibrant new festival should attend the first Official Information Night on Monday, March 20th at 7pm at the Leir House on 220 Manor Park Avenue. The festival vision and plan will be presented.
