Kickstart Disability Arts & Culture to Host 2nd Outdoor Public Gathering in Vancouver
/The following information is partially excerpted from a release issued by Kickstart Disability Arts & Culture.
December 3 is International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which is an international observance promoted by the United Nations. The day aims to increase public awareness, promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.
On December 3, Kickstart Disability Arts & Culture will be organizing their 2nd Annual Outdoor Public Gathering. The gathering will take place at the Robson Street Plaza in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery on Sunday December 3 from 12-2pm. This event will not have tables or booths set up with organizations distributing information; it is a casual gathering of people in a public place, to be seen celebrating International Day of Person with Disabilities.
Kickstart hopes you will support the event by publicizing and participating. There is no cost to support the event (though you may donate to cover costs if you're so inclined). Supports names and/or logos will be added to all marketing and support materials for this gathering. To extended your support, email Kait Blake with your logo and/or organization name, and contact information by Wednesday, November 29, 2017.
