Announcing the Winners of the 2017 City of Vancouver Mayor's Arts Awards
/The winners of the 2017 City of Vancouver Mayor's Arts Awards have been announced, and include 25 of the best and brightest creative minds in Vancouver.
Awards are given a wide variety of disciplines, from performing and visual arts to literary and culinary arts, as well as three special awards recognizing support of the arts, and a special lifetime achievement award. Each honouree in the studio and performing arts categories is invited to select an emerging artist in their discipline who demonstrates the promise of the next generation, who also receives an award.

The awards will be presented at a free public ceremony at the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre in Vancouver on October 11, 2017. The winner of the City of Vancouver Book Award will also be announced at the ceremony.
