Nominees Announced for 13th Annual OVATION! Awards

The nominees have been announced for 13th annual OVATION! Awards. The musical theatre awards represent outstanding productions and individuals from 2016 in BC's Lower Mainland. The award winners are determined by a panel of ten volunteer jurors from the musical theatre community, with the general public voting on a series of "audience choice" awards at applausemusicals.com until January 25. The winners of all categories will be announced at an awards show to be held at the Vancouver Academy of Music on January 29.

Top productions include Arts Club Theatre Company's Onegin, which was nominated for a record 13 awards. The Music Man (Gateway Theatre) and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Align Entertainment) both received 9 nominations. High-scoring companies include Arts Club Theatre Company (with 26 nominations) and Fighting Chance Productions (with 11).
