Music BC Names Alex Grigg New Executive Director
/Music BC Industry Association has welcomed Alex Grigg as the organization's new Executive Director, effective May 16.
Grigg has been a well-respected member of the British Columbia music industry for over 20 years. He has played leading roles at a number of dynamic organizations including The Feldman Agency, the 2010 Winter Olympic & Paralympic Games, Coastal Jazz and Blues Society (producers of the TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival), and most recently, Ambleside Live Concerts.
“Music BC’s Board of Directors are thrilled to have Alex take the helm during this exciting time of growth in the BC Music Community,” Scott Johnson, President of Music BC’s Board of Directors, said of this announcement. “Alex is a driven and accomplished executive with a proven ability to lead teams to new levels of success, and we are excited about the next phase of the organization’s development under Alex’s leadership.”
Grigg added, “I am thrilled to be joining the team at Music BC and excited to work closely with all of our colleagues in the industry. It is an honour to be given this opportunity and I look forward to leading the next phase in the organization’s development.”
The non-profit society serves BC's music industry by providing information, education, funding, advocacy, showcasing, and networking opportunities.
Music BC extends an invitation to meet Alex at their upcoming SchMusic BC Networking Party on Thursday, Jun. 2, 6-8 p.m. at the Biltmore Cabaret.
