Members of the arts and culture community in Kelowna and surrounding areas are invited to attend a networking event and a free gaming grant workshop, hosted by the Alliance for Arts + Culture in partnership with the Rotary Centre for the Arts and the Arts Council of the Central Okanagan.

Networking Event

On Friday, April 22 from 4 to 6 p.m., join us at an informal networking event in the Rotary Centre's Atrium for a chance to catch up with colleagues, meet new people, and get to know the Alliance for Arts + Culture. 

Complimentary light appetizers will be served, with cash bar available. 

Workshop: Navigating Your 2016 Gaming Grant Application

On Saturday, April 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. attend a free workshop to get advice on preparing a successful application for BC's Community Gaming Grants program and its 2016 Arts and Culture intake. The deadline for grant applications to this program is May 31 - be prepared! 

Navigating Your 2016 Gaming Grant Application: Understanding What’s Needed will provide an understanding of the particular requirements of the Community Gaming Grants program, along with valuable grant writing basics applicable to all funding programs. Participants are encouraged to bring their gaming grant applications in progress, or previously completed submissions, and will be given opportunities for one-on-one feedback following the workshop. 

Workshop facilitator Rob Gloor brings over 20 years of experience in non-profit arts management to his role as Executive Director of the Alliance for Arts + Culture. He holds university degrees in both music and business and has worked with organizations of all sizes in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia. Rob is the Treasurer of the board of the BC Association for Charitable Gaming (BCACG).

The workshop takes place in the Pacific Safety Products Boardroom of the Rotary Centre on Saturday, April 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

Both events are FREE to attend, but RSVPs are required.
